Prishtina International Vocal Festival
will be held from 14 to 20 October 2024 in Kosovo
7th edition offers a diverse program of concerts and artistic activities.
Some of the key events include:
• 𝐎𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝟏𝟒, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟒: 𝐄𝐓𝐄𝐑𝐍𝐀𝐋 𝐄𝐂𝐇𝐎𝐄𝐒 featuring soprano 𝐀𝐝𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐚 𝐏𝐚𝐥𝐨𝐣𝐚, accompanied by pianist 𝐋𝐢𝐫𝐢𝐤𝐚 𝐏𝐮𝐥𝐚 𝐊𝐚𝐬𝐚𝐩𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐢 and the 𝐀𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐢 string quartet, in support of breast cancer awareness.
• 𝐎𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝟏𝟔, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟒: 𝐎𝐏𝐄𝐑𝐀 𝐍𝐈𝐆𝐇𝐓 featuring the premiere of the opera “𝐊𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐋𝐄𝐀𝐑”, composed and directed by 𝐙𝐨𝐞 𝐇𝐢𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐮𝐬, an opera in two acts for soloists, virtual orchestra with elements of a neural network, with soloists:
-King Lear – 𝐈𝐬𝐦𝐞𝐭 𝐕𝐞𝐣𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐢, tenor
-Cordelia – 𝐄𝐥𝐨𝐧ë 𝐒𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐤𝐮, soprano
-Goneril – 𝐃𝐞𝐚 𝐗𝐡𝐞𝐦𝐚𝐢𝐥𝐢, mezzo-soprano
-Regan – 𝐄𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐚 𝐀𝐥𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐪𝐢, soprano
-Earl of Kent – 𝐇𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐢𝐬 𝐁𝐚𝐣𝐫𝐚𝐤𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐢, baritone
-Earl of Gloucester – 𝐒𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐬𝐢 𝐑𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐝𝐚𝐧, baritone
-Edgar – 𝐑𝐢𝐳𝐚𝐡 𝐉𝐚𝐡𝐚𝐣, tenor
-Edmund – 𝐑𝐢𝐠𝐨𝐧 𝐁𝐞𝐠𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐢, baritone
-Duke of Albany & Duke of Cornwall – 𝐋𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐢 𝐊𝐫𝐚𝐬𝐧𝐢𝐪𝐢, actor
• 𝐎𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝟏𝟖, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟒: 𝐘𝐎𝐔𝐍𝐆 𝐆𝐄𝐍𝐄𝐑𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍, a concert showcasing young voices selected from the masterclass led by maestro Raúl Giménez.
• 𝐎𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝟏𝟗, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟒: 𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐑𝐄 𝐈𝐒 𝐒𝐎𝐌𝐄𝐎𝐍𝐄 𝐎𝐍 𝐄𝐀𝐑𝐓𝐇 featuring mezzo-soprano 𝐀𝐥𝐛𝐚𝐧𝐞 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐫è𝐫𝐞 from France, accompanied by pianist 𝐀𝐧𝐝𝐢 𝐃𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐤𝐮 and cellist 𝐃𝐨𝐧𝐣𝐞𝐭𝐚 𝐂ë𝐫𝐦𝐣𝐚𝐧𝐢.
• 𝐎𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝟐𝟎, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟒: 𝟏𝟐 𝐌𝐎𝐍𝐓𝐇𝐒, the festival closes with the 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐀𝐫𝐬 Choir from North Macedonia, led by conductor 𝐒𝐚𝐬𝐡𝐨 𝐓𝐚𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐯𝐬𝐤𝐢.
The festival’s opening ceremony was graced by the presence of prominent figures, including Minister Hajrulla Çeku, U.S. Ambassador Jeffrey Hovenier, and German Ambassador Joern Rohde. Additionally, distinguished representatives from the embassies of Switzerland, France, Sweden, and Belgium attended, highlighting the international support and cultural collaboration celebrated through this vibrant event.
All concerts will be held at 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐍𝐞𝐰 𝐀𝐦𝐩𝐡𝐢𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐫𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐋𝐢𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐫𝐲 in Prishtina, starting at 𝟕:𝟎𝟎 𝐏𝐌.
